Changing of the Guard
In addition, you may watch the Changing of the Guard, a colourful and iconic ceremony at 11:00 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The schedule can vary depending on the royal family’s presence or other special events and usually occurs in the castle’s Lower Ward, outside the Guard Room. You can watch from a distance in the Lower Ward or pay extra to get closer to the action. The ceremony begins with the arrival of the new guard, led by a regimental band. They march from Victoria Barracks through the town centre to the castle. Once they reach the castle, they form up in front of the Guard Room. The old guard marches out of the Guard Room and faces the new guard. A series of commands are given, and the guards exchange places. The ceremony concludes with a salute and a march past; the entire event lasts about 20 minutes you can then discover the charming shops, boutiques, and restaurants directly opposite the castle.

Eton
Eton College, a prestigious independent school in England, has a rich history dating back to the 15th century. It was founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, who intended Eton to be a sister institution to King’s College, Cambridge.
Initially, the curriculum focused heavily on classical studies, particularly Latin and Greek. The original purpose was to provide free education to 70 academically gifted boys, known as King’s Scholars. Over time, the school expanded to accommodate more students, including fee-paying pupils known as Oppidans. Eton has educated numerous notable figures, including 19 British Prime Ministers, countless politicians, artists, and intellectuals.
It remains one of the most prestigious schools in the world.
Eton College offers guided tours to the public during the summer months, typically from May to September. These tours provide a unique opportunity to explore the historic heart of the college, including iconic buildings and the Museum of Eton Life.
